I'm still populating this page, but you can start with these!  Enjoy!

Let's get started...

What does "yoga without the woo mean?"

I'm glad you asked!  Like I mentioned on the home page, I truly believe that yoga is for everybody and that includes those who, like me, are not particularly spiritual.

This also applies if you want your spirituality separate from your yoga or you just don't believe that "moon water" or crystals or a "sound shower" can miraculously cure you of your illnesses...or that all you need is homeopathy.

Woo-woo, as defined by the Merriam-Webster (and other reputable dictionaries) is
"dubiously or outlandishly mystical, supernatural, or unscientific".

Now, don't get me wrong, there's is nothing wrong if you like the woo, even if you believe in them.  This, in fact, underpins the point of my website - it is belief-neutral

The physical yoga is given in clear language (I hope you're ok with my accent) and highly bio-mechanical based.  The psycho-emotional mindset work that is woven throughout the classes, courses, cards, blogs and podcasts aims to help us live in these states-of-being: KINDNESS, NON-JUDGEMENT, JOY in the SIMPLE THINGS, ACCEPTANCE and GROWTH, among other topics.  And these mindsets or life principles are beyond any belief system.

Lastly, while I am a proponent of healthy living, I am also scientifically, rationally minded.  I will never tell you that you can get well from an illness if you drink moon water or expose your perineum to the sun (yes, I've seen those videos and unfortunately people do, in fact, believe in that!)

I will never side with other yogis who say vaccines don't work.  And I will never look down at you if you are not vegetarian.  These are mostly what I mean when I say

"Yoga without the Woo".  Because while it's nice believing in the mystical, magical stuff, we can't relinquish the role of rational thought.

I'm new to yoga; feeling stiff, lacking strength and out of breath.

Are your classes suitable for me?

Yes, they are!  I always give modifications to the poses and flows and you are encouraged to stop and rest as you need to.

I take the time at the start of all the on-demand classes to take you through tricky poses, breaking it down as a short workshop.

I also go through shallower poses first, then deepen it.

I'm not young and supple anymore!  Can I do your classes?

Yes you can!  Apart from the above info, I encourage the use of props and external support.  This makes the classes accessible for most situations.

I wound remind you to talk to your medical or health worker if you have any concern over existing conditions like heart disease, blood pressure, pregnancy, eye disorders such as detached retinas and so on before doing yoga or any physical exertion as a precaution.

How about for those who are big-bodied or don't have the "yoga body"?

I'm the same!  In fact, I had a comment about my non-flat belly!  But you know what, that's ok.  You will always hear me give the cue "hug and lift" and to activate your deep muscles, because that's what's important.

You will also hear me say in the classes that shallower poses (for a lack of a better term) are just as valid as deeper poses - there are no wrong or right, but if there were, right is what feels good, regardless of depth.  Wrong is when the ego eggs us on into hurt and pain.

So don't worry about the shape of your body, there is no judgement here.

Just acceptance and the encouragement for self-acceptance and kindness.

I feel I lack the discipline to stick to a routine if it's not an in-person class.

How can you help address this?

I get you.  We all have different learning patterns.  But the beauty of online, on-demand yoga such as mine is that it can help you create that discipline!  It helps build self-accountability.  We are after all responsible for our own selves and establishing a routine of self-care is very powerfully life affirming.

Self-accountability & self-care is also a mindset that we can pass on to our children, if we are parents or carers, or influence other to adapt.  We then help enrich not only our own lives, but others as well.  Isn't that beautiful?  I think so.

How many times do you recommend I do yoga and will the monthly or yearly fee be worth it?

I recommend to start with 2 classes a week, then increase it gradually.  When you're used to the curated series of classes, you can even do a flow everyday!

Mix up short and longer flows, depending on your available time.  Or create an alternating system; you can be as creative with that as you want.  Plan holders have unlimited access to the classes and courses giving you this flexibility.

Now for a bit of comparison.  I did some research and found these:

- In-studio gym go for $18.70 per class

- 1 Year upfront can go for $1600

- Other online studios can go for $25 PER WEEK

- Casual in- studio classes are around $30, and

- Other monthly fees go up to $185

Mad Yogi's Monthly fee is $45 AUD.  Monthly, not weekly.  And our Yearly fee is only $420.  Yes, it's worth it.  Mad Yogi prices are very affordable.

Other online studios offer hundreds and thousands of classes.

Do you have as much?

First off, hundreds and thousands is a candy sprinkle, not yoga.  You won't be able to take advantage of all those; it just sounds nice.

I curate my class series.  That means I take time and care designing each class, refining it to be well-rounded and safe with modifications.  I also revisit my classes regularly and update when needed.

At the moment there are 4 class series - the Equinox Series with 24 classes, the Dosha Series with 24 classes, the Verve Series with 10 classes and the Mini Flow Series with 12 classes.  That's 70 classes.

The courses also have flows and other classes like breathing techniques and self-massage.

I am also constantly adding classes and courses.  At the time of this publishing, there are 4 classes in a NEW series that are being scheduled for first quarter 2021, additions to the Verve Series and another new series is in drafting phase.  These new classes are scheduled for release across 2021 and 2022.

There is also a new course being edited and another being drafted both for release in mid-2021.

What you deserve are curated and planned classes.  That's what I offer.

You don't need hundreds and thousands and the confusion that come with those.

Are your courses really included in the plans?

YES, absolutely!  The courses are designed to make yoga living practical and relatable to everyday life while helping our mental and emotional health through psycho-emotional mindset work that aims to help us live in these states-of-being: KINDNESS, NON-JUDGEMENT, JOY in the SIMPLE THINGS, ACCEPTANCE and GROWTH, among other topics.  I believe these mindsets or life principles are basic to our humanity and beyond any belief system.

At the time of this publishing, there are 2 courses - the Practical Yoga Rituals and the Practical Self-Care Course.  The third is fast approaching and another one is in writing phase.
